The 6th World Cup is a mega event organized by the All Russia sport public organization «All Russia Kyokushin Karate Union» in cooperation with the Board of Trustees. For the first time in history, during the international voting, Moscow has won the right to host the World Cup in one of the toughest and most spectacular types of martial arts. The World Cup is a part of the Plan by I.K.O. "Kyokushin kaikan Union"; it will bring together the best contestants from more than 30 countries and gather them all in Russia.

Five thousand people will witness the top-standard sportsmanship and a spectacular show. The world-class sporting event open for all the Kyokushin karate organizations in Russia and around the world will hold the highest quality competition on a tatami. Direct internet broadcast and internationality of the event will drive tens of thousands of people to watch the World Cup.

Guests of the Krylatskoye Sports Palace arena will be welcomed by ambassadors of different countries, deputies of the State Duma, the Board of Trustees of the Kyokushin Karate Union of Russia. Honored guests of the World Cup are Deputy Secretary General of the Prime Minister of Japan, Russian Government officials, Heads of Departments.

The legendary karate masters from Japan will take part in the opening of the World Cup, including Yasuhiro Shichinohe, a General Director of the I.K.O. "Kyokushin kaikan Union", a multiple champion, Shihan (8 dan, Okinawa); Shigeru Tabata, an Uchi Deshi Sosai Masutatsu Ōyama, Shihan (8 dan, Yamagata); Yoshikazu Koi, a Director of the I.K.O. "Kyokushin kaikan Union" (7 dan, Toyama).

World Cup Overview:
The World Cup by the International Karate Organization "Kyokushin kaikan Union" is held every two years. It is an essential part of the International Sporting Calendar, being the second most important event after the World Championship. There are categories for men (-70, -80, -90, 90+) and women (-55, -65, 65+). Traditionally, contestants from 25-30 countries gather for the competition.

About the host organization:
The organization of the World Cup is entrusted to the All Russia sport public organization «All Russia Kyokushin Karate Union» (the President is Kramyshev Aleksandr Sergeevich). It is engaged in the development of mass sport and Kyokushin karate in the regions of Russia and has required expertise in holding national and international sporting events. The Organization successfully hosted:

- Kyokushin Karate Union of Russia Championships (2013 -2019)
